The Fun Walk takes place every year at Barleylands Farm, Basildon, to raise money for charities and good causes.

Each year it goes from strength to strength, and in 2013 the Fun Walk became a registered Charity. It is now officially known as The Fun Walk Trust (Registered Charity number: 1151626).

Many local projects now see the Fun Walk as their main fundraising event, in what is a fun afternoon for the whole family. There is music, food vendors, plenty of refreshments and a large field full of stalls —the aim being to raise awareness as well as money. The Walk is supported by its family of volunteers and by Barleylands Farm who kindly host the walk.

We would like to say thank you to all the amazing organizations that participated in this year’s Fun Walk on Sunday 8th September at Barleylands Farm.

It was a lovely sunny day with interesting stalls, entertainment provided by Gateway FM and the wonderful Essex Chordsmen, and lots of food vendors to fuel our enthusiastic participants. We welcomed a number of well behaved dogs, and two Shetland ponies from REACH

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US FOR AN AFTERNOON OF FUN AND HELPING TO SUPPORT SOME GOOD CAUSES.

The presentation ceremony will be held at Anisha Grange Care Home in November where John Baron MP and other Fun Walk Trustees will award bonus pot cheques to all those charities and good causes [projects] that took part in the 2019 Fun Walk.
