The Trustees and management of The Fun Walk Trust will be announcing total monies raised in this year’s Fun Walk at a special Presentation to charities of their bonus on 22 November. The total sum will combine the monies raised by the charities themselves on the day with the bonus monies donated by businesses and individuals from across the area.
The presentation will see the bonus cheques presented with many of the businesses which donated into the bonus pot being present – last year, for every £100 raised by a good cause, another £65 was added by local businesses.
The Presentation evening starts at 6.00pm and will be finished at 6.45pm. By kind permission of Hallmark Care Homes, the venue is Anisha Grange Care Home, Outwood Common Road, Billericay CM11 2LE. Drinks will be provided. Local dignitaries, Councillors and media will also be present.
John Baron, Chairman of the Trustees, said:
“This again has been a fantastic team effort. Although we cannot declare total monies raised until the Presentation, we can say that another record has been broken.
“The Presentation also allows the charities to thank our bonus pot sponsors which were Swan Housing Group, c2c Greater Anglia, IFE Global Logistics, Anisha Grange Care Home, Brown & Carroll, Tunnelcraft, Leonardo MW, Star Pubs and Bars, McDonald’s Restaurants Basildon, RSE Building Services and others. Their £35,000 will help many good causes.“
